A man named Martin ‘Jim’ McFadden from Co Donegal, Ireland wrote to me last week. He had just returned from his second trip to St Maximin-la Sainte-Baume and La Sainte-Baume, the very special shrines to St Mary Magdalene in the South of France.
Martin told me he had a strong devotion to Saint Anthony of Padua throughout his life and had now developed a love and devotion to Saint Mary Magdalene. He has a little shrine in his home to both these saints.
…and then Martin told me about the book he had just written.
Martin recently launched his self-published autobiography DON’T GO THERE—A Stark Account of an Alcoholic’s Journey to Sobriety. Retired Bishop Seamus Hegarty of Northern Ireland wrote the foreward. Martin’s testimony proves how he finally found sobriety and true peace in his heart due to the POWER OF PRAYER.Addiction to alcohol and drugs is so prevalent today. After watching the video of Martin’s testimony I wanted to share his story and his accomplishment, hoping it will help others with their struggles with addiction.
